The Northern Cape Gambling and Liqour Board (NCGLB) was established on 1 April 2024. It created a consolidated entity, replacing the activities of the previous Northern Cape Gambling Board and the Northern Cape Liquor Board.

The mission of the Northern Cape Gambling and Liquor Board is to ensure that gambling activities in the Northern Cape Province are conducted with integrity and social responsibility, and to promote the responsible consumption of alcohol, while maximising the long-term economic benefits for the people of the Northern Cape.
